More street photography for Latin America please!
After my recent visit to Bogota I really thought that the photography community should do more to highlight the work of street photography away from NYC, London, or rural Vietnam. The incredible diversity of cultures, colors, and textures, both, material and social, really deserve more attention. Here, a few contributions from Bogota.
Oslo desperately catches the sun
The sun does not go down, but it comes at a price (the sun does not come out at other times). When is out is time to enjoy it, be in the water until 11 pm, or simply strolling around the city
Adams Morgan Porch Festival
Great combination of music and crowds make this a fun day in the neighborhood. I also played with tricks to focus with wide open lens (each square on 18th street is about 1 meter, helpful to think when to shoot!)
Reflections of happiness and Santo Domingo
Reflections of happiness in Santo Domingo
You cannot be unhappy if you dance
It all begins with an idea.
Everyday I saw different manifestations of the same scene. Some one, professional, seeking money or not, starts some music. It becomes impossible not to dance. It is impossible not to smile.
At the end its all about human connection
It all begins with an idea.
The Dominicans have it all figured out, humans are social animals and what makes us happy is human interaction, lesson learned and thanks!
